Sébastien Forrester is a Franco-British percussionist, sound chaser and composer whose work spans modern classical, drone, leftfield jazz and electronic music. His practice, rooted in rhythm, tone, texture and improvisation, lies at the crossroads of unconventional drumming, ceremonial atmospherics and eruptive sound design. 

His latest releases, such as the 'Turmoil' EP and the longform pieces ‘Bouôrgxo’, ‘Nèplo’ and ‘Ármo’, explore his relationship to trance-like states, intricate orchestrations and ancient percussion instruments, as well as the bagpipe and the psaltery, a link between his British roots and the Occitan (France) part of his family. 

Sébastien Forrester was part of SHAPE+ (2023-2024), has played drums for Coby Sey's Continue, Kukii (fka Lafawndah), Alpha Maid, Gyeongsu and Kiala Ogawa, performed as a percussionist alongside Heith, Forest Swords, Tirzah and Speakers Corner Quartet... while touring as a solo act all around Europe and North America. He has been a radio host on Rinse France since 2021 and has DJed on international radios such as NTS, the Lot Radio, Kiosk and Radio Alhara.

Some of his collaborations include IVM Trio (with Mika Oki, Apulati Bien), Brodinski, Slikback, Ehua, 3Phaz and Ben Shemie (SUUNS), as well as dancers and choreographers Mathilde Lin, Mehdi Kerkouche, Pierre Rigal, Suzanne Meyer and Emmanuelle Soum. 

His singular approach to sound art and composition has also earned him soundtrack commissions from Hermès, the BBC and PBS.
