Maxime Daoud is a French musician, composer, and arranger based in Paris. Under his alias Ojard, he released his first LP, "Euphonie", which garnered significant attention and support from artists such as Devonté Hynes, Blonde Redhead, and Ichiko Aoba.
In September 2024, he released "Chorale Volume 1", the first in a series of four works to be unveiled over the coming months. "Volume 2" is scheduled for release in 2026.
In recent years, Daoud has collaborated with numerous artists from the French indie scene, including Papooz, Malik Djoudi, Alain Chamfort, Forever Pavot, and Johan Papaconstantino, as well as international artists such as Sébastien Tellier, Amadou & Mariam, Hubert Lenoir, Meryem Aboulouafa, Christine and the Queens, and Sulafa Elyas. He is currently working on Charlotte Gainsbourg’s next album alongside Bastien D, SebastiAn, and Sega Bodega.
Beyond his work in the music industry, he has been a musician on original soundtracks for several films and series in collaboration with Jean-Baptiste de Laubier (Para One). Notably, he contributed to Céline Sciamma’s "Portrait de la jeune fille en feu", which received multiple nominations and awards at the Cannes Film Festival.
As a composer, he also wrote the music for (La) Horde’s first film Novacieries, as well as for projects by young director Lais Decaster.
Daoud has also composed music for other media, including podcasts. He created music for “Transfert”, one of the most-listened-to French podcast, as well as for branded podcasts for Hermès, Orange, and Canal+.
