Dougal Kemp is a composer for film and visual media whose work explores the space between acoustic writing, electronic textures, and narrative sound.

Working across cinema, documentary, and interdisciplinary formats, Dougal creates hybrid scores that combine orchestral writing, analog synthesizers, and concrete, natural sounds. His music is driven by atmosphere and texture, seeking a balance between intimacy and scale while remaining closely aligned with the dramatic needs of each project.

His work includes the feature documentary Clarisse Agbégnenou, L’Olympe pour Athéna (France 2), as well as numerous short films produced in France and internationally. His compositions have been recognized with several international awards, including the OST Challenge, RFI Instrumental, and the SABAM Award for Best Young International Composer.

He is currently composing the score for his first feature film by Swiss director Stéphane Riethauser, while also developing music and sound for an immersive experience in Paris, alongside a personal album that extends his practice beyond the screen.
